About the role


The Cash Converters Board and Executive Leadership Team truly believe technology can provide the organisation with a competitive advantage and the Senior IT Leadership Team are ultimately responsible for making this happen. 

The Business Engagement Manager is a key member of the Senior IT Leadership Team, who are jointly responsible for the Group Information Technology team’s execution of the annual IT Business Plan and the attainment of both the business and technology strategies over time. 

We are looking for a Business Engagement Manager to join our amazingly talented IT Team based in our Perth CBD headquarters.

This role will be responsible for leading a team of IT Business Analysts and Product Owners to manage:

  • IT Business Engagement;
  • IT Demand Management;
  • IT Requirements Management;
  • IT Performance Management; and
  • Information & Knowledge Management Capability functions.

As the Financial Services and Retail Industries continue to be impacted by the Digital Revolution, this role is also responsible for maturing a new Agile Software Delivery method for Cash Converters that operates in parallel, and hybrid form, to a more traditional like method.


The ideal candidate will have:

  • Must have 3-5 years’ experience managing a team that has worked in an Agile/Lean manner, in an organisation with greater than $100m in revenue. Experience includes a thorough understanding of Agile/Lean theory as well as practical implementation of the same;
  • Bachelor or post-graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field;
  • Demonstrated strong leadership and people management skills;
  • 5-7 years IT management experience;
  • Extensive experience in customer service and relationship management and the ability to manage conflicting stakeholder priorities;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with people at all levels of the organisation; and
  • Demonstrated experience in building business analysis capability in organisations.
